About This Software Game Character Hub: Portfolio Edition is the ultimate program for creating and editing 2D game assets. It provides a built-in generator for character and tileset creation. While the program was made to be compatible with RPG Maker XP, VX, VX Ace, and MV the elements found in the program should work with other 2D game engines as well. RPG Maker assets are for RPG Maker use only.New and ImprovedGame Character Hub: Portfolio edition picks up where it's predecessor left off and features multiple improvements, enhancements, and brand new features! Here's a quick overview:Character CreationEasily create characters by choosing generator parts provided in the program. Simply select a template, add items and you're done! You can also create your own custom templates and parts. Note that almost the same logic applies to tilesets, so it doesn't necessarily need to be characters!Flexible LayersYou can easily customize parts according to your needs; such as changing the opacity, renaming, merging and deleting parts.Animated PreviewsThe Preview window lets you see whats going on without having to stop what you're doing! You can pause the animation and change different settings such as the animation speed, background color and even zoom! You can also set custom animation previews with the Animation Management feature. Useful if you want to see if your Autotiles or Behaviour poses seamlessly transition to one another!Powerful Palette EditorWith our palette editor, it's easier for you to create your own palettes and change values. What's more is that you can generate palette colors from all visible layers or specific ones. Great for finding the colors you need!Complete Item CollectionOur huge collection of items makes creating your dream character easy! Mix and match pieces and build your own heroes!Powerful Random Character GeneratorNeed to generate a bunch of NPCs quickly? No problem, use Game Character Hub: Portfolio Editions to create a huge variety of different characters combining our huge library of items.Other Features Include:Tileset MergingTired of manually merging tile sheets on your own? But when you import custom parts they don't catogorize properly, this is a nifty little program but with bugs like that it's hard to use. So until it's fixed a little better i wouldn't recommend this software. The program is useful if you only use default generator parts and supported dlc parts. So until it's fixed a little better i wouldn't recommend this software UPDATE: Bookmarks, bridges, and bug fixes: Today's update includes the following changes: Added bookmarks (table of contents) to the PDF manual. Bridges can now be placed over, but not on, terminals. Fixed a bug where logic gates activated at the wrong simple I/O value. Added more information to the "part not sleeping" error message.. UPDATE: New achievements: Today's update adds two new achievements and a small tweak to the electronic practice target puzzle's first test run.. UPDATE: Small tweak to histograms: Today's update makes a few small changes to histograms that should hopefully improve their readability, particularly one with small scales.. UPDATE: Random post-patch fixes: This morning's patch fixes some bugs introduced in FIRMWARE UPDATE VERSION 1.2 in addition to some fixes that didn't make it in yesterday. Retina-related issues should now be fixed on macOS. When pressing enter while typing code, if the program is already at the maximum line count it will now try to delete blank "padding" lines below the cursor to make room. Reverting back to the old logic gate behavior until we figure out a balanced long-term solution. Fixed a bug where logic gates would sometimes remember their states across simulation runs. Fixing a bug where formatting characters could be entered in design names. Improving the logic around pausing on verification errors when running at low display resolutions. Instead of freezing, it now merely pauses, and only on high-speed test runs. Tweaked the display of histograms to provide more immediate information about the most recent scores. Fixed a bug in autoformatting.. Loyalty Discount now Available: Hi there,A 50% loyalty discount is now available for all owners of Game Character Hub. We apologize for our delay in getting this set up.If you've purchased Game Character Hub: Portfolio Edition in the past week that means you will have received the "launch" discount of 20% as opposed to the 50% loyalty discount. To make this up to you, we have come up with the following 2 options. You can either receive a free Game Character Hub DLC of your choice or an equivalent amount in RPG Maker Web store credit. Please email games@degica.com with your receipt and we will set this up for you.We also wanted to mention that for a short period of time the "loyalty" discount was stacking with the "launch" discount. This would have allowed you to purchase GCH:PE at 70% off :O This was unintended but if you got the program at that super discount, congrats! Our next update for GCH:PE will be to release the original GCH DLCs in PE format. If you own the original DLC, you will be able to use them in PE free of charge.Expect to see Steam Workshop compatability following shortly after that. Thanks for your continued support! The Game Character Hub Team*The loyalty discount was available during the first 3 months of release. Update: Quick fix for the empty design crash: This patch fixes a bug introduced in yesterday's update that caused empty designs to crash on Mac and Linux.. Game Character Hub: PE 3.4.1: Hi everyone,Fixes an issue where the item library indexer would get stuck following the previous large update.Thank you for your patience everyone and enjoy!. UPDATE: Long-awaited "enhanced realism" mode for SHENZHEN I/O!: Today’s update adds a long-awaited “enhanced realism” mode to SHENZHEN I/O. This optional mode may increase the difficulty for some players, but we think the corresponding increase in authenticity is worth it!To enable “enhanced realism” mode, go into the in-game control panel and change the language from “English” to “汉语“. Enjoy!. UPDATE: More bug fixes!: Today's update contains the following changes: Instead of 3 fixed test runs and 1 random test run, the game now runs 8 fixed test runs. We're still trying to figure out what needs to be done for verification, but hopefully this will at least be a little less... random. Fixed a bug where you could place some parts on input/output board terminals. Fixed a bug where histograms wouldn’t display for Mac and Linux users. Attempted to fix the PDF opening bug on Linux. Whether it actually works for everyone is yet to be seen. Why is this the hardest part about porting to Linux? Fixed a bug where only comically low resolutions were available to Mac users with Retina screens. Fixed a bug where the breakpoint instruction text was wrong for Mac users. Fixed a bug where you could click the fullscreen button even when it wasn’t visible. Fixed a bug where some developer hotkeys were accidentally left enabled. Fixed a few typos and text content errors.. UPDATE: Better text rendering: Today's update improves the text rendering in SHENZHEN I/O. It shouldn't be noticeable, unless you look really closely at the spacing between letters, at which point it should be incredibly satisfying compared to our old text renderer.
